bike wheel bearings - supplier

Postby jimmy on Sat Mar 06, 2010 4:08 pm

just an FYI, if anyone is looking for bearings for bikes, mostly wheel hub bearing which are usually sealed bearings.
When you get the bearing out there will be a number stamped on the bearing which gives the inside and ouside diameter of the bearing.
"Reliance Bearing's" based in Little Island in cork stock these, they also have offices in Limerick and in Dublin. The guy in the stores there is vey helpful and he says he sells a good few bearing the bikers so their well used to us.
Got a bunch of them yeaterday, cheaper than CRC also and easier to get as you just have to give them the number stamped on the bearng.
I love my bike...

Another advantage of buying from somewhere like Reliance is that the quality of the bearing will better than standard bearings supplied with some components. I just replaced the rubbish race face bottom bracket bearings on my bike with a different branded bearings and am hoping these will last a bit longer....
